Each and every life is vitally connected
A Jewish legend tells about a leaf that desired freedom. Being connected to the tree branch day after day was most confining. Flying on the wings of the wind and seeing the world was a frequent desire.
Twisting and turning succeeded in being disconnected — released.
A gust of wind carried the leaf away with an exclamation of delight. Dancing in the wind and freely racing along highways was thrilling. Limitation was gone! Anywhere was a possible destination ... but the night came.
Lying alone shivering in litter was not a pleasant experience. Passing days brought increasing weakness. Eventually curling up and turning very brittle, life ended.
A lonely life for any reason is not necessary. Reassuring and fulfilling living is being experienced every day.
“God's love couldn't have run out, His merciful love couldn't have dried up. They're created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I'm sticking with God (I say it over and over). He's all I've got left ... The Master won't walk out and fail to return.” Lamentations 3:22-24, 33 MSG
Life in 2011 is yours for living — stay connected.
