Police continue search for man connected to domestic violence incident
The Yuma Police Department is searching for a man in connection with a domestic violence incident.
The man, 26-year-old Raymond Ludwin, is currently wanted on charges of assault, attempted unlawful imprisonment, and disorderly conduct.
At about 4:40 p.m. Friday, YPD officers were sent to the 1400 block of South 10th Avenue after officers received reports Ludwin had allegedly assaulted his live-in girlfriend at their residence, causing minor injuries.
Upon arrival, police learned Ludwin had possibly locked himself inside a bedroom in the home. Officers attempted to make contact with Ludwin, but received no response.
Police then cordoned off a portion of 10th Avenue between 14th and 15th streets and set up a perimeter around Ludwin's home.
The YPD Special Enforcement Team (SET) was dispatched to the scene at about 8:30 p.m.
Several hours later, YPD was able to obtain a search warrant for the residence, and SET members, outfitted in ballistic armor and carrying tactical rifles, made entry into the home.
Once inside, the team discovered Ludwin had fled the scene. Ludwin had not been located as of press time Saturday.
YPD encourages anybody with information about this case to call 783-4421 or 78-Crime to remain anonymous.
