Participating with San Luis parks and recreation, police and fire departments will be the Yuma County Sheriff's Office, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Humane Society of Yuma, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Border Patrol, Customs and Arizona Department of Health Services.
Sponsors are Wal-Mart, State Farm Insurance, Winelectric Supply, Arizona Physicians IPA and Plaza Auto Center.
San Luis Police Sgt. Luis Marquez said, "We are very excited that so many public agencies and private businesses are coming together with so many resources to offer our kids. This is a great opportunity for parents and teachers to encourage children to attend and learn how dangerous life can be, and that knowledge and education is a critical element in the prevention process."
Fingerprints will be made for identification cards.
The "Passport to Safety" is planned to be an annual event in San Luis.
