Time for Meatless Monday resolution
I’m an animal lover, plain and simple. I fondly remember my childhood pets, learning about animals in books and television shows. I had chickens, goats, sheep, ducks, horses and other animals our farm. But as I grew older, I began to investigate how choices in my everyday life might affect animals, and after learning about the cruel conditions animals raised for meat, milk and eggs are kept in, I decided to cut back on my meat consumption for my 2013 resolution. I hope others will consider doing the same for 2013. To get started in the New Year, consider embracing the "Meatless Monday" movement and skipping meat each Monday in the New Year. It’s just one day a week, but it’ll make a world of a difference for animals suffering in factory farms. A healthy way to also lose those extra pounds!
