Pharmacy office now offering medication therapy
Option Care of Arizona has opened an office in Yuma under management by pharmacist Dianna Faidley to provide specialty pharmacy infusion and nutritional services.
The office offers pharmacy services for intravenous medications such as antibiotic therapy as well as pain management, congestive heart failure, catheter maintenance and enteral nutrition therapy. It can also administer multiple sclerosis and osteoporosis IV medications.
Nursing staff is available to provide direct patient care but the main focus is the medication therapy, Faidley said. "We can provide our services to those patients leaving the hospital setting or we can get them started from home. We are also able to administer medication at our office location."
In the past, medication of this type often required an extended hospital stay and frequent returns to the hospital for infusions once the patient was discharged.
The service also has sites in Prescott managed by Kevin Nestrick and in Tucson managed by Greg Fox. Registered nurse Lisa Sewell is the nursing coordinator.
The Yuma office is at 2170-1/2 W. 24th St. and can be reached at 373-0101.

Sonora Nissan has been playing musical cars as it undertakes a major construction project.
Recently, the old used car building (which sat back from 32nd Street at the rear of the lot) was demolished and the lot was resurfaced. With the resurfacing completed, all the dealership's inventory of vehicles has been moved to that lot and construction started on the new facility that will face Pacific Avenue.
The foundation for the new building has been laid and the metal frame is erected. When finished, it will be a 26,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility built to Nissan's national brand guidelines. It will feature new vehicle sales and finance, business offices and retail service and parts departments. The building is slated for completion by the end of October.
At that time, the 32nd Street lot and current building facilities will become Sonora Nissan's Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Center. The current service department will be used to recondition pre-owned vehicles.
Entry to the dealership can be accessed through driveways on both 32nd Street and Pacific Avenue.
