Microsoft Excel beginner classs
Learn how to set up Microsoft Excel 2010 to meet your business needs during a beginner class offered by Arizona Western College. Learn how to create spreadsheets, enter and edit data, create formulas to perform calculations, manage workbooks, format data and learn several of Excel's automated tools.
Cost is $99. The class will meet from 8 a.m. to noon July 31 and Aug. 1 at the AWC Entrepreneurial Center, 1351 S. Redondo Center Drive, Room 1351.

Indoor swap meet
Once again the doors of Yuma Civic Center will open for a summer indoor swap meet as a cool alternative to yard sales during the hot summer months. It's also available for those with home-based businesses and for fundraisers looking for some added exposure.
Afterwards, don't feel like hauling home your unsold merchandise? Leave them at your booth and a local charity will pick them up for you.
The swap meet will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday and again on Aug. 4. For booth information, call 373-5043.
Admission is $1, children under 12 are free. Food and cold beverages will be available for sale.
Investment seminar
An educational seminar on investments will be held at 6 p.m. July 10 at Hampton Inn and Suites, 1600 E. 16th St. To reserve a seat, call 329-1700.
Presented by Yuma Investment Group Wealth Management, the seminar will provide information on the fundamentals of investing, how to handle uncertain markets and protecting retirement income.
