School retirees meet
Members of the Arizona State Retirement System are invited to the organization's fall meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in Rooms A-B-C at the Yuma Main Library, 2951 S. 21st Drive.

Guest speaker Steve Poe, president of the All Arizona School Retirees Association, will discuss proposed legislative changes to ASRS. There is no charge to attend.

AEA announces Go Direct Initiative
AEA Federal Credit Union has announced a $200,000 Go Direct Initiative that benefit not only its members but the community as well.

AEA's initiative pledges a $10,000 donation to one community service organization benefitting local residents once $200,000 in instant cash for car loans is awarded to AEA members. The program gives back up to 1 percent of auto loan balances in instant cash when members come directly to the credit union for auto financing.

As of last week, more than $176,000 had been paid out, according to aeafcu.org/initiative.

Microsoft Windows course
The course, Microsoft Windows, presents the basic concepts of Windows 7 to provide a working understanding of the fundamentals. Hands-on exercises and practice sessions will be available. Instructor is Liz Davis.

The course will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (1 hour lunch on your own) Nov. 9 at the Arizona Western College Entrepreneurial Center, 1351 S. Redondo Center Drive. Cost is $99.

Real estate classes

Nine hours of real estate continuing education classes will be offered by C. David McVay School Nov. 7 at Hampton Inn and Suites, 1600 E. 16th St. The schedule includes:

• 8-10:45 a.m. — Residential environmental reporting

• 11 a.m.-1:45 p.m. — Today's agency

• 2-4:45 p.m. — Rules/ethics update
