Sex offender has new address

A recently convicted sex offender with a high risk to reoffend is residing in a Yuma neighborhood.
Sergio Mendoza, 19, lives at 838 S. 2nd Ave. He is a described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
He is considered a Level 3 sex offender with a high risk to reoffend.
On Jan. 9, Mendoza pleaded guilty to luring a minor for sexual exploitation as part of a plea deal with Yuma County Superior Court. He was sentenced to 10 years' intensive probation.
Mendoza had originally been charged with sexual conduct with a minor after a police investigation revealed he had sexual contact with a 14-year-old female victim he knew.
