Currently, I'm serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. I enlisted in 2009.

Lance Corporal, E-3

What led you to join the military?

My family immigrated to America from Mexico in the early 1990s. This country has been very good to my family, so I wanted to be the first in my family to serve in the armed forces.

What is the most valuable lesson you've gained from your military services?

What are some medals, commendations, citations or other military honors you are proud of having earned?

Achieving the rank of lance corporal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal and the Good Conduct Service Medal

What would be your advice to someone considering or planning a career in the military?

Give 100 percent in everything you do. Look out for your brothers and sisters in arms.

What are your hobbies and interests?

My hobbies include automotive mechanics. My interests are football, soccer and anything on the Discovery Channel.
