What led you to join the military?
I wanted to see the world. I came from a small town, Roll, Ariz., and didn't have many job opportunities. The Army also put me through college.
What is the most valuable lesson you've gained from your military service?
That working hard will pay off in the long run. I will retire in June with 36 years, Army and Civil Service combined.
What are some medals, commendations, citations or other military honors you are proud of having earned?
Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Ribbon and Marksman Medal
What would be your advice to someone considering or planning a career in the military?
Keep an open mind. Stay focused. Enjoy the military and “Be all you can be!”
What are your hobbies and interests?
Going to Laughlin, Nev., cooking, baking and spending time with my family. And best of all, spoiling my two grandbabies.
