What inspired you to dedicate your life to ministry?

At a young age I had an awareness of God's purpose for my life. Other possibilities were available and attractive. Nothing equaled the potential of saying yes to God's preference for me.

Which personality traits should a strong religious leader possess?

The excellent example is Jesus. He was peaceful, compassionate, humble, strong and a capable teacher. Paul, the Apostle, provided guidelines, such as approachable, disciplined, gentle and mature.

What do you enjoy or appreciate most about your denomination's teachings or traditions?

In its original formation, the Assemblies of God was established to provide a fellowship for those desiring a complete expression of divine declaration. A-G to our fellowship means “All the Gospel (Good News) to all the world.”

What is your best counsel for someone suffering a spiritual crisis?

Whatever the crisis, it affects our spirit. Call on God for help (pray). Contact someone who knows how to communicate with God and can help you communicate with God. Follow the examples of heroes in biblical history who trusted God. Trust God. Talk to God. Take God at His word. Live God's Word — it works.

Describe the joys and rewards of leading a spiritual flock.

It is witnessing a person who realizes God is real, cares and is capable. When life-changing revelation through an increasing relationship that develops hope, help, and wholeness for the entire man is appropriated, it is very satisfying.

What are the biggest challenges of ministry?

Influencing people to believe God's help is theirs as He declares in Jeremiah 33:3 [NIV].

Have you witnessed any miracles as a minister?

A change in the course of nature is miraculous. I have witnessed lives changed and bodies healed.

Did you have any careers before ministry?

No.

What pastimes do you enjoy when not working?

I ride a 1991 Gold Wing Honda named “Revival.” It replaced “Ministry,” which was totaled in a wreck 3½ years ago.

What are your major dreams or goals for the future?

To see God's family grow in His character and in number.
