Motorcyclist taken to Phoenix hospital after wreck
A motorcyclist was taken to a Phoenix hospital after being severely injured early Thursday morning on Avenue 3E near Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.
According to the Yuma Police Department, a 62-year-old man driving north on Avenue 3E lost control as he approached the MCAS Yuma main gate and laid down his motorcycle on the roadway.
The man, whose identity has not been released to the public, was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries. He was later flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix.
The wreck remains under investigation.
