Sun Graphics now offering mobile paper shredding service
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Sun Graphics is branching out. The company has purchased a truck specially equipped with a heavy-duty paper shredder and is now offering mobile shredding services under the name Desert Document Shredders. The truck will go to the customer and provide instant shredding on the spot. It will shred 5,000 pounds of paper an hour, with the shredded material taken to Yuma Recycling Center.
It's the "baby" of Shelby Sparlin, son of Sun Graphics owners Glen and Debbie Sparlin. He can be reached at 920-4884 for service weekly, biweekly, monthly or as needed from large to small jobs.
The younger Sparlin, who previously worked for Yuma County Adult Probation, has joined his parents' business as the general manager and to operate the shredding service.

Yuma Community Bank is on the grow in response to the community's growth. The bank, established seven years ago in December, is in the process of opening a second branch.
The new branch will be located in the Foothills in the building formerly occupied by National Bank of Arizona at 11242 S. Foothills Blvd., said Kathy Brandon, president of the bank. The building is being gutted and completely renovated for "a nice, fresh new look," she said. The hope is to have the building finished by the end of the year.
The branch manager will be Damian Liska, an original employee of Yuma Community Bank and Brandon's former assistant. The location was selected to serve the high-growth area on the east side of Yuma, the Foothills and eastern Yuma County.
National Bank vacated the location when it relocated to its new building at 11031 E. 40th St.

To Sonic fans who are wondering when the company might build a couple of new restaurants announced several months ago - the answer is "quite awhile," according to a spokeswoman.
She confirmed that the two new Sonics are still on the company's coming list of new restaurants, but no date has been set for either one.
Several months ago, Sonic purchased six acres from Desantiago Auto Sales, 3007 S. Avenue B, to build a Sonic Drive-in there. A parcel also was purchased on the east side of Somerton for another Sonic.
The company bought extra acreage at both locations, which is available for purchase. If interested, call Tony Brullo of Anthony and Company Realtors at 783-2181.
