Waiting for news of city election
I was busy all day on election day and didn't get to hear the results until the 10 p.m. news. I turned to my favorite local news channel to get the results. I had to wait until the more important news was talked about first.
Let's see, someone in San Luis was accused of videotaping his employees and customers in his bathroom. Much more important than Yuma's future.
Second story, two young girls from Fourth Avenue Junior High were busted for staging and videotaping a girl fight. Now, that was important.
Third story. It's an upset. Upset, the people have spoken. The people are upset, not the election results.
Al Krieger, I wish you well. You have much work to do. I know you are the man for the job. Finally, It's time to move forward and make this city the great city most of us know it can be.
