HOLTVILLE PAPA SEMINAR
Food safety and pest control such as gophers, bats and weeds will be among topics for the PAPA seminar to be held from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 at the Barbara Worth Country Club in Holtville, Calif.
One presentation will focus on the cucurbit yellow stunting disorder virus that is threatening Southwest desert melon production.

SUMMER AG INSTITUTE
The annual Summer Ag Institute is just around the corner and applications are now being accepted for teachers interested in participating.
The SAI will be held June 16-20, with much of the time spent in Yuma County.
The goal is to educate kindergarten through 12th-grade teachers about Arizona's agriculture industry.
Participants are also provided with materials to help them incorporate what they learn into their teaching.
