Parmenter, Gomez named to 5A-II First Team All State

Cibola senior Tyler Parmenter and Yuma High senior Pancho Gomez have been named to the 5A-II First Team All State as voted on by the head coaches.
Parmenter’s teammates, Krysthian Leal and Miguel Corral, along with Gomez’s teammate, Drew Chavez, will also be playing in the 5A-II state all-star game. The contest, which will take place at 5 p.m. June 3 in Surprise, will showcase two teams full of Arizona’s top prep talent.
The Yuma players will be part of the South team, which will also feature players from state champ Scottsdale-Chaparral, runner-up Gilbert-Perry and Scottsdale-Horizon.
