HAROLD STEWART

Harold Stewart knew that coming to Yuma two years ago as a city administration intern would provide him with valuable experience as well as fulfillment of a requirement for his master’s degree. Now he has something to show for it: a top management position.

Stewart has accepted the position of city manager of Ogallala, Neb. His last day at Yuma City Hall will be April 25 and he starts his new position May 12.

Stewart’s internship was a step in obtaining his master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kansas, also the alma mater of City Administrator Mark Watson. During his tenure here, Stewart served as the interim director of human resources for nine months.
