Pickels 2nd at SWPGA Championship

Joey Pickels and Grady Bourguignon each took second in their respective age groups this weekend in the Southwest PGA Ping Junior Players Series Tour Championship at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale.
Pickels shot a 77-76—153 to take second overall, while Bourguignon shot a 83-83—166 to finish second in the 13 and 14-year-old division and sixth overall.
The scores were slightly higher than normal for the duo, due in part to a strong wind on the already longer-than-usual course.
Kyle Jones won the event with a 76-73—149. Pickels finished tied with Jordan Lowery for second. Bourguignon tied with Kevin Turjilo for sixth.
Bourguignon finished the year second in the SWSPGA power rankings and tops in his age group.
