Men rob Dairy Queen
Yuma police are looking for two suspects in connection to the armed robbery of an ice cream store at the corner of 32nd Street and Arizona Avenue on Thursday evening.
According to police, two unidentified men entered the Dairy Queen at about 6:21 p.m. and demanded money from the employees. At least one of the suspects was brandishing a handgun.
The robbers were given an undisclosed amount of money and were last seen heading southbound on Arizona Avenue in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle.
Police say there were no customers in the store at the time and possibly two to three employees. No one was hurt in the incident.
The first suspect is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a red shirt with black shorts and a black baseball cap. He also has a moustache and a stocky build.
The second suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jean shorts and a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap. He is clean shaven and has an athletic or thin build.
No other information was immediately available Thursday. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call police at 783-4421 or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.
