Yuma Recorder leads state group

Yuma County Recorder Robyn Stallworth-Pouquette is now leading her peers as president of the Arizona Association of Recorders.

“It is a great honor and privilege to serve as president of such a hard-working, dedicated group of government officials,” she stated. “I am excited by the opportunity to share and network ideas and programs with my colleagues and represent them as the state approaches a new legislative session with many new lawmakers. I am eager to learn more and support strong communication between the state legislature and the Recorders Association.”

Recorders are especially visible to the public every election season: their offices maintain the voter registration records for their county, conduct early voting, and work year-round to ensure that all voter registration records are up to date.

Recorders, who are elected to their posts, also work within county government and accept various documents to create public records, maintain these records to archival standards, and provide convenient access to these records for public viewing. Stallworth-Pouquette was picked for the Arizona Association of Recorders' slot Friday in Phoenix during the organization's meeting at the Maricopa County Elections Office.
