Winter visitors pay year-round

In response to the letter by John Emerson in the Oct. 29 edition regarding Far West Water and Sewer, I wish to clarify his statement regarding the payments of snowbirds.
A snowbird may not be on their property 12 months a year, but we are charged the same monthly fee as those who are — even though we do not use the sewers all 12 months and the water is disconnected. Go figure!
