Criminals go 1-3 in Peoria
Aida Almada hit a three-run home run to power Yuma High to a 3-1 win over Ironwood, its only win at the Peoria tournament Friday and Saturday.
With two outs in the fifth, Linda Ontiveros and Darien Ramirez singled, setting up Almada’s blast. Isabel Villalobos pitched six innings, allowing one earned run and four hits.
The Criminals lost 7-2 to Glendale and 9-2 to Cactus.
