GOING ON: New, unused socks are needed to help senior citizens stay warm and cozy this winter; drop boxes will be located at the school; holiday themed socks are favorites

GOING ON: 15 percent of the food sales will be donated to the senior class of Carpe Diem High School for their class trip to Disneyland
REGIONAL COOK-OFF
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 1
WHERE: Gila Ridge High School
GOING ON: Anyone in Yuma who is in grades 9 through 12 can enter the 10th annual regional cook-off; hosted by Gila Ridge High School
COST: $40 per team, three people per team

GOING ON: Yuma Catholic is having its Rachel Determan Memorial Rib Cook-off; see Yuma's best cooks compete for the Dr. Wilhelmy championship cup

CRAFT BOOTHS

WHERE: Sunrise Elementary School cafeteria
GOING ON: Classes will have booths and/or silent auction to fund field trips; booth fees are collected by Sunrise PTO to provide shade structures for the playground; all profits crafters, bakers and venders make are theirs to keep; open to public
