Daniels second in shot put, discus

The San Pasqual boys tallied 33 points at the 1A State Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Mesa High School, including a pair of second-place marks from thrower Anthony Daniels in the shot put and discus.
Daniels threw 44 feet, 2 inches in the shot put and 133 feet, 11 inches in the discus.
The Warriors picked up a third medal in the throwing events from the girls side as Virginia Montague was fourth in the discus (93-10).
Other individual medalists were Manuel Cerda in the 800 (2:06) and Julio Saldana in the 400 (54.7). The boys were fourth in the 3,200 relay (8:58), sixth in the 1,600 relay (3:48) and seventh in the 400 relay (48.3)
San Pasqual's girls 800 sprint medley also medaled in seventh place (2:12).
