Social Security is not an entitlement

It is said if you say it enough times, people will begin to believe it.

You are being brainwashed by politicians and the news media and that includes Fox News Service out of New York.

Social Security and Medicare for those who are on these programs now have paid into these programs. This is not the government's money. We who are on the programs and still work, pay back into the system. Also out of our Social Security, we pay $100 a month into Medicare.

As I have stated, this is not an entitlement. The news media and many politicians continue to repeat entitlements, instead of calling it what it is — Social Security.

It is the people's money that they have taken from their wages as a way of saving for the future. Of course, this administration and other politicians do not have to think or worry about saving — they will be taken care of for the rest of their lives long after they live in Washington.

The robbing of the Social Security savings account started with the Eisenhower administration and continued up until now with the present administration taking the biggest share of Medicare and Social Security. All politicians in all of these administrations are guilty of aiding and abetting in the robbing of the people's money and leaving behind IOUs which will never be repaid, and yet those in the Senate and House continue to want to take home to their state more “pork.” Yes, I said pork.

Having said all of this, let me clue you politicos that entitlements are as follows: welfare, food stamps, family assistance, and in some states, unemployment.

This administration has grown at least 30 percent in some of these entitlements. Let me say this, all of you who made your choice in the last election, be glad you have your entitlements. Hope they last for all of you who are on Social Security and Medicare.

Fire off a letter to your congressmen or call them and let them know how you feel. Do not let the news media brainwash you by calling Social Security and Medicare an entitlement.

I have served, or I should say, I have lived, in this country under 16 presidents. I have lived through the Great Depression and I don't really recall how many recessions. The politicos and others will have you believe that we are not in a recession now. Yeah, right! Tell that to those in small business and those without jobs and those who have given up looking for work.

All you honest people out there, don't give up hope.
