YC, Cibola heading to state

Three teams will represent the Yuma area when the 2012-13 AIA Basketball State Playoffs start Wednesday.
Yuma Catholic is sending both their boys and girls teams. The boys earned a first-round bye with a No. 8 seed and will play the winner of No. 24 Phoenix Country Day and No. 9 Duncan on Saturday.
The No. 23 seeded Shamrock girls take on No. 10 Arizona Lutheran in the first round at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at Prescott High School.
On the Division I side, No. 21 seeded Cibola is taking on No. 12 Mountain View Marana at 7 p.m.on Wednesday at Mountain View High School.
