Sex offender moves to new location here
The Yuma Police Department is informing the community of a Level 2 sex offender's new address.
Tyrone Fabien Thomas, 41, is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is now residing at 340 S. 1st Ave., No. 6.
In March of 2009, Thomas entered into a plea agreement in Yuma County Superior Court for one count of sexual abuse with one prior conviction and was sentenced to 1 1/2 years in prison.
A police investigation revealed he had unwanted sexual contact with an adult female victim.
Offenders are categorized in three levels. Level 1 is a low risk to reoffend, Level 2 an intermediate risk and Level 3 a high risk. Thomas is considered a Level 2 sex offender.
Thomas is not wanted by law enforcement. Yuma police is releasing information about his new address pursuant to the community notification law on sex offenders.
