Sex offender has new Yuma address
The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is informing the community of a Level 3 sex offender's new address.
Christopher Michael Allyn, 40, is described as 6 feet tall, 210 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is now residing at 13499 E. 48th St. in Yuma County.
In September 1990, Allyn was convicted by the Clark County Superior Court in the state of Washington of third-degree rape. He was sentenced to one year in jail with six months suspended providing that he completed a sex offender treatment program at the Center for Behavioral Interventions in Portland, Ore., and 24 months of community supervision.
Then in 2000, he was charged and convicted for failure to register as a sex offender, for which he served one year in jail. He was again charged and convicted for failure to register in 2004 and spent 180 days in jail and 36 months probation.
Offenders are categorized in three levels. Level 1 is a low risk to reoffend, Level 2 an intermediate risk and Level 3 a high risk. Allyn is considered a Level 3 sex offender.
Allyn is not wanted by law enforcement. The sheriff's office is releasing information about his new address pursuant to the community notification law on sex offenders.
