Sex offenders have new addresses in Yuma
A level 2 sex offender with a medium risk to re-offend and a level 3 sex offender with a high risk to re-offend are residing at new addresses in Yuma.
According to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office, 44-year-old Jeffrey Gray is now residing in the area of East 10th Street and South Arizona Avenue.
Gray, a level 2 sex offender, is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has a light complexion with brown hair and brown eyes.
On Dec. 13, 1994, Gray pled guilty to attempted sexual conduct with a minor and dangerous crimes against children. He served five months in jail, and then was released on probation.
On Feb. 29, 1996, Gray violated his probation and was incarcerated by the Arizona Department of Corrections. He was released on Oct. 15, 1999, and is not currently on probation.
According to the Yuma Police Department, 35-year-old James Rogers is now residing at 965 S. 6th Ave.
Rogers, a level 3 sex offender, is 6 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 280 pounds, and has a light complexion with red hair and blue eyes.
On July 24, 1997, Rogers accepted a plea deal in San Diego County Superior Court for lewd and lascivious acts with a minor. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail and five years probation.
Rogers had originally been charged with molestation of child after a police investigation revealed he had sexual contact with an 8-year-old female victim.
Rogers was later charged for failure to register as sex offender in Yuma County.
