Kofa, Cibola 13th after first day of state golf

Cibola's Kayla Fisher shot a 96 in the first round of the 5A-II Girls State Championship Monday at Maryvale Golf Course to pace the Raiders. Cibola had a combined team score of 407 after the first day, which ranked 13th.

Amber Owens shot 106, Amrutha Doniparthi 114, and Toni Hurley 122.

Kofa's Amanda Garcia carded a 96 over at Aguila Golf Course during the 5A-I State Championship. Garcia's score was 44th overall.

The Kings finished the first day in 13th place with a score of 407 as well.

Alyssa Slade shot 101 for Kofa, Amy Gonzalez shot 103, Tayler McKenna shot 107 and Amanda Martinez 108.
