Hawks win four-way

Kofa's Daniel Linares took medalist honors with a 1-over-par 37 at the Cocopah Golf Course on Friday, but Gila Ridge won the four-way match against Cibola, Yuma and Kofa.

The Hawks had Brady McClellan, Mitchell Nelson and Tyler Swenson all shoot 41s to lead Gila Ridge to victory with a team score of 166. Kofa took second place with a score of 172. The Kings' second-best performer was Adam Whitmer, who a shot a 40.

Cibola finished third with a total of 201 and Yuma did not field enough players to have a qualifying team. Andy Gonzalez shot a 44 and John Risen shot a 49 for the Raiders. Cibola's Keilor Rivera shot a 52 - a personal best. Yuma's only golfer for the day was Bradford Goodwillie, who shot a 56.

Yuma and Cibola will travel to Lake Havasu on Thursday.
