Eduardo's brings signature food to Foothills location
Comments 0 | Recommend 0 There's a new Eduardo's in town - well, actually the Foothills. Bill Higuera, owner of the restaurant founded by his father in 1964, has expanded to a second location at the Pioneer Shopping Center (look for it tucked behind Microtel) in the space formerly occupied by Dos Centavos.
"It was almost a turn-key operation," Higuera said of the opportunity to move in and open Eduardo's East. It even has the former Dos Centavos' phone number of 305-9877.
The new restaurant offers the same great Mexican food Eduardo's is noted for (beer license is pending). It's open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
That means fans can enjoy the food - and Higuera can work - seven days a week. The original Eduardo's Mexican Food, 1701 S. Avenue B, is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. The phone number there is 783-6469.
By the way, Higuera is still looking for employees, especially a cook.

National Bank of Arizona is in the process of building a new regional center at Arizona Avenue and 16th Street, where it also intends to relocate its branch. That bank has said it hopes to move into its new facility in February.
