Yuma Catholic's Samantha Barczynski finished 16th with a time of 22 minutes, 12 seconds and medaled for the Shamrocks in the 2A State Championship Meet at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix Saturday. She was the only member of either YC team to finish in the top half.

The boys finished 14th out of 18 teams and the girls placed No. 11 out of 12. Jacob Harman was No. 40 in the boys race with a time of 18:46.

"(Samantha) ran a good race last week and an even better race this week," Yuma Catholic coach Ralph Farr said. "I was really proud of how they all ran."
