Correction: $4.7 million separate from compensation fund

The Capitol Media Services news story “Arizona gets OK to raid fund for workers” in the Nov. 24 issue of the Yuma Sun should have said the state Court of Appeals allowed lawmakers to take money from the “special fund” for injured workers operated by the Industrial Commission. The $4.7 million at issue is separate from money collected by the State Compensation Fund, which insures employers against injury to their employees. A Yuma Sun editorial in the Nov. 26 issue (“Need to protect special funds from state raids”) also incorrectly referenced the State Compensation Fund. We apologize for the error.
