Farmers should be good stewards of air
Summer is almost here along with the inevitable heat, a condition that is endurable if you love living in the desert. Something that I think that we should not have to endure is the smoke and ash from fires that are deliberately set and called "controlled burns." Who controls these burns and are the farmers issued permits to pollute? I know that most farmers are good stewards of the land, I ask that they consider also being good stewards of the air and the impact it has on the quality of life in Yuma.
