Yuma's friendliest grocery checkers can be found at Fry's, which has consistently been voted Yuma's Best Grocery Store for 10 years by The Sun's readers.

"We could not be more honored," said Kendra Doyle, spokesperson. "We certainly do not take it for granted ... for our customers to recognize us in a publication such as yours, we could not be more thrilled.

"Fry's is more than a regular store. We try to give customers a little more than they expect at a grocery store."

Besides groceries to take home and cook, there are also meals ready to eat or heat, she said. And there are products to help customers with their homes, whether that be cookware, dinnerware, or indoor and outdoor items.

"We have pharmacies at both stores ... certainly health issues are a priority," Doyle said.

"We just couldn't say thank you enough ... for voting us best time and time again. We will continue to provide great service as we go forward."

Business hours are from 6 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.

The Yuma store is located at 500 W. 24th St., and the number is 329-1055. The Foothills store can be reached at 305-1922 and is located at 11274 S. Fortuna Road.
