BEST CD/RECORD STORE FOR 10 YEARS, BEST VIDEO RENTALS

Since the birth of Yuma's Best 10 years ago, Hastings has been voted Yuma's Best CD/Record Store by The Sun's readers. And it's received top honors for Best Video Rentals for seven years.

"Wow," said Alexis Contreras, one of the store's managers. "I certainly want to thank the customers. If not for them, we wouldn't be here."

He also credits store employees with great customer service for the repeated Yuma's Best titles.

"Customer service is number one with us," he said. "We teach all our new employees that customers must be happy when they leave the store.

"I'm very, very proud of this store. I started working here in September, but just working with the people here, I can see that they totally love their jobs and they love dealing with the people."

Books, video games and videos are among the many items for sale at Hastings. Customers may peruse books and magazines while sipping Starbucks coffee or eating pastries at the store's Hardback Cafe.

The address is 2820 S. 4th Ave., and the number is 344-4614.
