Super Bowl no longer a single-screen event

Super Bowl 2012 is starting in a few hours and the excitement in the air is electric … literally.

Larger than ever before, the behavior of the nation has changed from the traditional Super Bowl party sitting around a large-screen TV to now being surrounded by a multitude of screens. Forty-seven percent of Super Bowl viewers this year will be using their smartphones over 10 times during the game!

More than 45 percent of tablet users during the game plan to check stats, make posts to Facebook or Google+, email and text messages and watch their favorite game commercials on YouTube.

The world has become a continuous conversation through all the facets of social media and businesses are becoming more sophisticated on how to use it. For an event as big as the Super Bowl, marketing and advertisers are using many of these possibilities to ensure businesses attract customers.

How many screens will be at your Super Bowl party? Go Giants!
