Panthers announce season schedule
The Yuma Panthers announced their schedule on Wednesday, with their first home game coming three weeks into the season.
The home opener for the team formerly known as the Scorpions will be June 26 against Maui, a full three weeks after its season starts June 5 in Hawaii. After the first two weeks playing at Maui, the Panthers travel to expansion San Rafael in Northern California before returning home for a 7:35 p.m. game against Orange County — the time for all home starts this year.
They remain home for the next three weeks and close the season at home with a three-week homestand, with the finale on Aug. 26 against Orange County — which along with San Rafael and Maui are the only three teams on the Panthers' schedule. They don't play any teams from the North American League's South Division in the regular season.
