Wipe that smile back onto your face
Sometimes we take ourselves too seriously. Sometimes it's OK to act like kids. Ask yourself how many times a day do you laugh?
Craig Zablocki drove home that point during his presentation at the 11th anniversary gala of Amberly's Place.
A study showed that kids laugh an average of 300 times a day. An adult? Seven times.
Children learn from what we do. So what are we teaching them? “Wipe that smile off your face. Act your age.”
We're supposed to be teaching them, but actually, we have a lot to learn from them. Just walk into a room full of adults and ask who can paint a picture. Maybe a few will raise their hands.
Walk into a kindergarten classroom and ask them the same, and all hands will shoot up.
So based on this “informal study,” as Zablocki calls it, who has more self-esteem? Them or us?
Yup, there's a lot we can learn from children.
