Youth Baseball

Viper tournament March 2-3

The Yuma Vipers will host their first Spring Warm-Up Baseball Tournament March 2-3 at the Cibola Baseball Complex.

The tournament will feature U-10 and U-11 age brackets and eight teams per division. There is a $260 registration fee and prizes for first and second place. For more information, call 304-0172.

HORSESHOES

Tournament March 16

The Yuma Horseshoes Pitching Association will hold its Windup Tournament March 16 at Kennedy Park.

Sign-in is at 9:30 a.m., with the tournament running from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Registration is $20, with all of the money going to the top three finishers. Only sanctioned players may compete. For more information, call Glenn Warden at 1-515-473-5193.

GOLF

AWC tourney March 22

The Matador Athletic Association will hold its annual golf tournament March 22 at The Links at Coyote Wash in Wellton.

Registration for a single player is $100, and sponsorships range from $150 to $700.

Mulligans and skins are available, and a hole-in-one will win a chance at a car courtesy of Alexander Auto Center. Food and beverages will be complimentary on the course, with a free dinner and reception after.
