Tiny traveler loves Italy

The youngest member of our party is little Scarlette, Bethany Winters' daughter, who is about 9 months old. She is a natural traveler.  This little girl is content to be held by about anyone and there's no loss for caretakers or entertainers for her on this trip.  She's become a tiny mascot for the choir, chortling and clapping in the cute endeering way of babies who know they have it made!

She is also a magnet in tourist areas for the young and old and cries of 'Bella bebe!' have been heard everywhere.  I think we all have as many pictures of Scarlett on our cameras as we do the sites - she's just a natural charmer and loves to pose for the lens.  She's also become fast friends with Guiseppe, our bust driver, and Flavio, our guide.

Saturday during a sweltering day in Ravenna, Scarlette discovered the value of cool marble floors. Her noises of delight and beaming face just made us all laugh.   

Sunday she enjoyed the cool benches at the Piazza del Signoria and clapped happily through the acts of various street performers.  A mime performing in the square had apparently been watching her watch him and gave both Scarlett and her grandma, Linda Winters a big hug (and a little face paint) when they headed out.  Linda was red-faced with embarassment, but Scarlette just smiled away.
