Tree, Landscape Expo
The city of Yuma and the Yuma Community Tree Board will host the annual Tree and Landscape Expo from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Yuma Readiness and Community Center, 6550 E. 24th St. (24th Street and Araby Road).
Designed to offer valuable advice, instruction and guidance to gardeners of all skill and interest levels, the Tree and Landscape Expo provides comprehensive coaching in a number of areas of interest from experts in their field. Expo participants will have the opportunity to gain indispensable knowledge in the following areas:
• 8-9 a.m. — Tree care for homeowners
• 9-10 a.m. — Pests in your home and garden
• 10-11 a.m. — Soil amendments
• 11 a.m. to noon — Palms and cycads
Tickets are $7 each and include tri-tip lunch; $4 admission without lunch. Children 12 and under are free with a paid adult admission.

Tree Kids Program
Parents with children ages 6-12 may enroll them in the Tree Kids Program taking place simultaneously with the Tree and Landscape Expo Saturday at the Yuma Readiness and Community Center, 6550 E. 24th St.
Junior scientists will explore the science of the Sonoran Desert and discover the incredible world of desert plants by investigating the relationships between plants, their environment and the critters that live with them.
Children attending the Tree Kids Program must be registered in advance and accompany a paid adult to the Tree Expo.
