Hawks take flight at tri-meet

The Gila Ridge boys and girls cross country teams won a tri-meet against Kofa and Yuma Catholic.
 
The Hawks scored a 19 in the boys race and were followed by the Shamrocks in second with a score of 46 and Kofa in third with 60 points.
 
Gila Ridge's Shane Hengesh won the race with a time of 17:34 and was followed by teammate Joshua Seguro (18:06). YC's best finisher was Jacbo Harman in sixth with a time of 18:52.
 
In the girls event, Gila Ridge was the only team to qualify a six-person team and took the top five spots. Lauren Cradic won the race with a time of 22:24.
