Raiders take second in Calif.

With just 11 wrestlers scoring points, Cibola still managed to take second at the Shark Tank Invitational in Corona, Calif. on Friday.

A team from Altus, Okla., won the title. Luis Nunez was Cibola's lone champion, winning at 132. Also placing for the Raiders were Isaac Camarillo at 126 (second), Pablo Moreno at 138 (third), Pierre Gaud at 145 (second), Ricardo Morales at 170 (sixth) and Adam Razo at 160 (third).

two Criminals place

Yuma Catholic took ninth place in the individual and seventh place in the dual portions of the Ironwood tournament, which concluded Friday.

Five individuals finished in the top six for YC — Alex Varela (third at heavyweight), Alex Daymen (fourth at 170), Gerardo Gila (fourth at 160), Casey Alexanders (sixth at 138) and Ernesto Sandigo (sixth at 126).

For Yuma High, Porfirio Garcia and James Gomez each finished in the top four.

Garcia was fourth at 126, while Gomez was second at 182.
