Building long wall would increase security

High risk of a terror attack? On who, where, what time? Woe is me, all this mumbo jumbo information from the Department of Homeland Security. It's more like homeland insecurity. The president says "go on about your business." For some reason I don't feel any safer now then I did the day after 9-11. Knowing that there might be an attack somewhere, sometime, on something does not make me feel secure.

Perhaps it's time to consider that the Chinese did have a better idea, the Great Wall! Wow! What a concept - we will just build a big wall to keep out the bad guys that would do us harm. Throughout history walls, fences and barriers have been used to keep people from coming in or going out. Now Israel is building a wall 409 miles long - not much of a task compared to the Great Wall of China, but I'm sure it will improve the security problem for them.

With the recent loss of one of our border defenders, the idea of actually building a wall on our borders makes sense. Not only would it improve the security of our country but with the economy in shambles and so many people unemployed, it would create lots of jobs for several years. The Department of Homeland Security could concentrate on finding the bad guys that are already in this country, and the Border Patrol could defend our borders much easier and more safely.

If anyone can come up with a more secure way to protect our borders then building a wall, I would sure like to hear it. In the meantime, try to live your life knowing that there is a high risk of attack.
