What's stopping you isn't impossible

A tightrope walker was approved to walk a high wire across Niagara Falls. The cable was stretched from a tower on one side to the other side, 100 feet above the noisy, pounding water. The walker would not only walk the wire from one side to the other but would push a wheelbarrow ahead of him.

Time for the dangerous performance arrived. A large crowd gathered at the origin of the scheduled event. The performer appeared and climbed to the platform. A small wheelbarrow with a wheel barely wider than the cable had been attached awaiting the treacherous walk above the falls.

He approached the top of the platform, the noisy crowd became silent. After a long look across the wide expanse of pounding water, he hesitated. He turned back, looking down to the upturned faces. A man in the crowd, breaking the silence, shouted, “Go ahead! Don't be afraid! You can do it!”

The performer turned, saying, “Do you really believe I can do it?” “Yes, I believe in you! I believe you can do it!” was the response.

“Good,” the stuntman replied. “If you believe I can make it, then come up here and get into the wheelbarrow.”

An assignment that seems impossible or a part of life's path that seems impassable will come. Like the man with the wheelbarrow, help is present. Almost 2,000 years ago, Jesus gave his followers a command. What seemed very easy became impossible. A simple trip across the lake was becoming a final journey. The wind and waves made it impossible to navigate.

Something out of the ordinary came on the waves toward the travelers. One of them, Peter, said, “Jesus, if it's you, let me come to you.” Upon invitation, Peter walked on water to Jesus. It wasn't a perfect experience … but, Peter walked on water with divine help. — Matthew 14:22-34

Impossible and impassable are not restrictions for divine help. In the wheelbarrow or on the water, you will make it to the other side.
