Anniversaries 4-25-08 White

Marvin "Whitey" and Beverly White hosted their 60th wedding anniversary dinner for their family at the Hunter Steakhouse on April 11. Those attending the celebration were from Arizona, California, Oregon, North Dakota and northern Idaho.
The couple married on April 11, 1948, at the Woodside Village Church in Woodside, Calif. They raised their two children, Darrel and Kathy, in California for 37 years.
Marvin is a 55-year retired member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 3 union in San Francisco. He retired from the engineers in June 1985 and they moved to the Foothills of Yuma. They are both ham radio operators and members of the Yuma Amateur Radio Club and the Yuma Auxiliary Communications Service.
In addition to their two children, they have two grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
