Warriors, Rams and Shamrocks represented in wrestling semis

San Pasqual, Antelope and Yuma Catholic have at least one wrestler each through to the semifinals of the 1A/2A State Wrestling Tournament.
 
The tournament concludes today at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley.
 
Warrior junior Joe Delgado moved through with a pin followed by a 5-2 decision at 103 pounds. Teammate Roger Valencia pinned both opponents at 130.
 
Rams senior heavyweight Johnny Salcido followed a first-round bye with a pin to advance to the semis.
 
Defending state champion Nick Waterford pinned his way to the 215 semifinals. Teammate Ryan Gill pinned his first opponent and scored an 18-3 tech fall in the quarters.
 
All five wrestlers can finish no worse than sixth.
