Cibola's Beltran, San Luis' Sosa named Co-Players of the Year in GVR

Cibola forward Stephanie Beltran and San Luis goalkeeper Carolyn Sosa were named Gila Valley Region girls soccer Co-Players of the Year, and Sidewinder coach Ian McDougall was awarded the region's Coach of the Year honor.
 
Beltran was one of six Raiders included on the 14-player All-Region first team, while three other Sidewinders joined Sosa on the list. The first team included four seniors (Kayla Jacobs, Kelli Wieczorek, Alexandra Wong and Evelyn Peralta) and two freshmen, Cibola's Karina Cain and Kofa's Nicole Hartman.
 
Others included on the first team were Montserrat Rodriguez, Yvonne Flores, Bri Rios, Alexandra Wong, Gisel Duarte, Amiee Rodriguez and Michelle Soto.
